Clure "Ray" Buck

BUCK, Clure "Ray" age 84 of Springfield passed away peacefully on Wednesday, September 2, 2020 surrounded by his family at his home. He was born on March 28, 1936 in Gainesboro, Tennessee the son of Luther Fred and Etta (Harris) Buck. In addition to his parents, Ray is preceded in death by his siblings: Thelma Lackey, Hershall Buck, and Katheryn Anderson. He leaves behind to cherish his memory his beloved wife of sixty years, Jo Buck; children: Kathy Shirk, Jennie (Patrick) Glaser, and Jimmy Buck; daughter-in-law, Lisa Buck; grandchildren: Marie (Chris) Gilpin, Jesse Shirk, Dalton Shirk, Kyle Glaser, Haley Glaser, and Hunter Buck as well as great-grandchildren: Braylee and Lacey Gilpin. Ray is also survived by his siblings: Mary (Terry) Risner and Ralph Buck; brothers-in-law: Bill (Joyce) Herier, Tom Harris, and John Harris and his dear church family at East High Street Church of Christ. Ray was a volunteer for 35 years at Morefield Township Fire Department and loved to restore trucks, tractors and boats. He had an impressive vegetable garden that he worked on endlessly but he always enjoyed it. Ray was a man on the go and will be sadly missed by those who knew him. Jackson Lytle & Lewis Life Celebration Center will be handling private family services, Minister Phil Grear officiating. Ray will be laid to rest at Pleasant Hill Cemetery in Springfield, Ohio.
