Clyde Edward "Bud" Berkshire

BERKSHIRE, Clyde Edward "Bud" age 93 of Springfield, Ohio, previously of Lebanon, Indiana passed away peacefully on Saturday, June 25, 2022 at Wooded Glen Health Campus surrounded by family. He was born on February 14, 1929 to the late George and Virgel (Smith) Berkshire in Logansport, Indiana. In addition to his parents, Bud is preceded in death by his beloved wife of nearly 56 years, Joan (Wise) Berkshire and his brother, Tom Berkshire. He leaves behind four loving daughters to cherish his memory: Debbie (Robert) Hodnett, Marcia (Gary) Smith, Teresa (Gary) Perrine, and Diana (Keith) Hearit; grandchildren: Zachary (Lizz) Smith, Sarah Elizabeth Perrine, Matthew (Sarah Lynn) Perrine, Lauren Hearit, Catherine (Ethan) Venitz, and Michael Hearit; great-grandchildren, Madi and Dakota as well as two nephews, Tommy Berkshire and Tim (Pam) Berkshire. Bud is also survived by his dear friends, Yvonne Howard and Dick Hall as well as his First Christian Church family who for the past year visited Bud at Wooded Glen, shared fellowship and communion with him. After many dedicated years at Personal Finance, Bud retired in 1998. He was able to make many memories with his family and always enjoyed watching Big 10 Basketball and Big 10 Football and supporting his Cincinnati Reds. He attended First Christian Church and was a member of the Elks, Masons (Tipton Lodge #00033) and Scottish Rite. A visitation will be held at Jackson Lytle & Lewis Life Celebration Center on Wednesday, June 29, 2022 from 11:00 a.m. - 1:00 p.m. and his funeral will begin at 1:00 p.m. Pastor Brian Borton officiating. Bud will be taken home to be laid to rest next to his wife, Joan, at Oak Hill Cemetery in Lebanon, Indiana on Thursday, June 30, 2022 at 11:00 a.m. Memorial contributions may be made to First Christian Church in Bud's honor.
