David W. Ward, age 79, went home to be with his Lord and Savior on April 6, 2022 in Springfield, Ohio with his wife and daughter by his side. He was born on November 2, 1942 in Circleville, Ohio to the late James and Alice (Ward) Miller. Along with his parents, David is preceded in death by his sister-in-law, Kris Ward, mother-in-law, Norma Fleming, grandparents, and several aunts and uncles. David is survived by his loving wife of 59+ years, Gloria (Fleming) Ward, daughter, Shauna (Tony) Faust, grandchildren; Steven (Layne) of Nebraska and Heather (fiancé Steve) of Fairborn, siblings; Mary (Roger) Kirby of Groveport, Michael Ward of Medway, and Cindy (Bill) Rozell of Urbana, numerous nieces and nephews, and several close friends.

David selflessly served our country in the United States Army for 3 years, spending time in Greenland. During his time of service, he worked with heavy equipment and earned the Good Conduct Medal and Sharpshooter (Rifle) Badge. He worked 5 years at International Harvester and retired from Roger Storer Plumbing after 28+ years. In his freetime, David loved to be outside. His passion was doing yard work, gardening, and tending to his flowers. David was saved and baptized in 1983. He was active in his church, serving as an usher and a deacon. He also enjoyed going on walks and traveling with his wife. David gave unselfishly. He loved his family and was someone you could always rely on. He was always available to help whenever someone was in need. David will be dearly missed by all who had the pleasure of knowing him.
