Garry Mearil Mcguire

December 19, 1937 — June 26, 2021

Garry Mearil McGuire age 83 of So. Charleston. Ohio passed away on Saturday June 26, 2021
after being hospitalized for 2 months from severe injuries he had sustained.

Garry was born to Mearil and Eddyth Elam McGuire on December 19, 1937 in Malone, Kentucky.

Garry is survived by his children: Tammy Puckett and Johnny (Sharon) McGuire.
His best friend and brother Ronnie (Rita) McGuire.  Grandchild: Misty Puckett. Great Grandchild: Destiny Mathews

Garry was preceded in death by both his parents, his beloved wife of 56 years Lois Marie (Gambill) McGuire, his dear sister in law Juanita Gambill; and brother-in-law, Bill Gambill.

He leaves behind numerous nieces, nephews, great nieces, nephews and great great nieces, nephews. He leaves many close friends he's had for many decades.
He leaves... but we all have the wonderful memories that make us smile when we think of him.

Garry retired from International Harvester after decades of employment. He was an avid reader of Western Novels, loved hunting and fishing, enjoyed being outdoors and working in his garden. Taking his family to Dale Hollow many summers on the houseboat. He also enjoyed meeting his friends for his morning coffee at the local mini mart for many years after his retirement. He and Lois loved to host cook-outs for the extended family, small family reunions with lots of laughter and fun. They were the fun Aunt and Uncle everyone wanted to be with. Garry was generous to a fault, helping those that asked. Garry knew no strangers, he could strike up a conservation with anyone. He was someone you could always count on and was a good friend to all those that had the honor to know him.

Garry spent the last 7 years missing his wife Lois, they had plans... plans to travel, plans to enjoy their retirement together, enjoy the fruits of their combined labor, everything they both worked so hard for all their lives. That all came to an end with her untimely death at the young age of 71 yrs. Garry lost so much more since. He bore pain and suffering of unspeakable betrayal and turns of events to the point he gave up living, gave up looking forward to tomorrow, looking forward to the joy life can bring.

In death his broken heart will be healed and finally find the comfort and peace he so deserved for the last golden years of his life.
Godspeed Uncle Gary, you ARE missed, you are loved, more than you realized by more than you knew...
