John R. Gossard

John R. Gossard, age 88, passed away Sunday, September 13, 2020. John was born to the late Jay and Mary (Frymire) Gossard November 13, 1931 in Alton, Illinois. He is survived by his wife: Eileen (Theobald) Gossard; children: Mark (Sheryl) Gossard and Laura (Matthew) Stepp; grandchildren: Blake (Crystal) Gossard and Benjamin Stepp; and great grandchildren: Kaylyn and Roland Gossard. John graduated from Stokes Township High School in 1949 and went on to graduate from the Ohio State University in 1953, where he was a member of the Alpha Gamma Sigma Fraternity. On September 20, 1953, John married his loving wife, Eileen, and spent the next 66 wonderful years together. A private graveside service will be held to honor John’s life at South Solon Cemetery. The service will be officiated by Pastor John Crutchfield. Services in care of Ingling, Williams & Lewis Funeral Home, South Charleston.
