John William Dooley Sr.

John William Dooley Sr., age 45, passed away unexpectedly on Thursday, April 22, 2021 in Springfield, Ohio. He was born on June 24, 1975 to Marty Licklighter and Vickie (Runyan) Dooley in Springfield, Ohio. John is preceded in death by his mother, grandparents, and niece, Ashlynn Dooley. He is survived by his wife, Denelle Lovelace-Dooley, sons; John William Dooley Jr. (Sunnie Reed), Dylan Ray Dooley (Alexius Henery), Jessiah Wilson-Dooley, and 4th son, Malcum Mcilroy, daughter; Kaleiah Wilson-Dooley, brothers; Mike Dooley (Megan) and Kevin Dooley (Mindy), sisters; Debbie and Sherrie Dooley and DJ Licklighter, grandchildren; Kyrah, Baby John, and Piper, his father; Marty Dooley, numerous nieces and nephews who were deeply loved by John, and numerous special friends. In his free time, John enjoyed playing pool, fishing, playing cards, music, having cookouts, and working on cars. He was a Ford lover, especially F-150. John was a devoted family man, giving a special love to his grandkids. He will be deeply missed by all who had the pleasure of knowing him. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the family through the funeral home website to assist them during this difficult time.

Family and friends will be received on Tuesday, April 27, 2021 from 4:00-6:00 PM at Jackson Lytle and Lewis Life Celebration Center, Springfield. A service will be held Wednesday, April 28, 2021 at 11:00 AM. Burial will follow the service at Vernon-Asbury Cemetery.
