Martha Elizabeth Redmond, age 90, passed away on December 13, 2021 in Springfield, Ohio. Martha was born on February 2, 1931 in Springfield, Ohio to the late John Anthony and Mildred (Hall) Baving. Along with her parents, she is preceded in death by her loving husband of 62 years, George Harris Redmond, her step-father, Jesse Moore, daughter, Carol Stull, brother, James Elwood Baving, and son-in-law, Phillip Mann. Martha is survived by her daughters; Shirley (James Graver) Mann and Connie (Dennis) Huff, grandchildren; Paul (Karie) Mann, Terri Bruce, Amy Kirby, Austin (Tierra) Huff, and Kaitlin (Dustin) Sisco, great-grandchildren, and great-grandchildren, Aliza and Emma Mann, Dustin, Derek, and Madison Bruce, Alyx Kirby, Zayden, Logan, and Vaughn Huff, and Serenity Sisco.

Martha was a 1949 graduate of Springfield High School. Martha worked at Crowell Colliers after graduation. She was also a secretary at Northwestern Mutual and Massachusetts Mutual. Martha married her childhood sweetheart, George (Jim) Harris Redmond on April 15, 1950. Martha’s hobbies included skiing, boating, bowling, raising and showing horses, raising and showing rabbits, and traveling in the RV all over the United States. She loved all things Christmas, including baking and making candy. She volunteered for 4H as a horse advisor with George. She also was a 4H small animal advisor and Brownie and Girl Scout Advisor. She volunteered with Champions Center and Sprylighters, sponsored by the masonic home. She was a member of the Plattsburg United Church of Christ and a resident of Oakwood Village Independent Living.

Private family services are being held. Arrangements in the care of Jackson Lytle and Lewis Life Celebration Center, Springfield.
