Marvella Lavender

Marvella Lavender, age 77, passed away on July 9, 2022 in Springfield, Ohio. Marvella was born on March 16, 1954 in Kentucky to the late Eugene and Cloa (Belcher) Blevins. Along with her parents, she is preceded in death by her loving husband of 52 years, Jim Lavender, son, Robert, daughters; Tracy and Roberta, granddaughter, Jamie Danielle Lavender, great-granddaughter, Sa’miah, and siblings; Jerry and Mary. Marvella is survived by her sons; Ernest (Billie) Lavender and James Lavender, grandchildren; Ashley (Darren), Shanda, James Lavender Jr., Courtney, Jozlen, Dustin, Cierra, Cody, Johnny, Timothy, Nicole, Robert, Amanda, Tiffany, Olivia, Chris, Janda, and Becky, and 11 great-grandchildren.

In her freetime, Marvella enjoyed crocheting, coloring, cooking, and playing games on her phone.

Family and friends will be received on Monday, July 18, 2022 from 6:00-8:00 p.m. at the Jackson Lytle and Lewis Life Celebration Center, Springfield. Another visitation will be held on Tuesday, July 19, 2022 from 12:00-2:00 p.m., also at the funeral home. The funeral service will begin at 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday, July 19, 2022.
