Nellie Mongold Travis

TRAVIS, Nellie Mongold, age 101 of South Charleston passed away peacefully on Sunday, October 18, 2020 at Urbana Health and Rehab. She was born on September 15, 1919 in Washington Court House, Ohio to the late Edward and Annie (Groves) Mongold.  In addition to her parents, Nellie is preceded in death by her beloved husband Lundy R. Travis; son, Ray Travis; daughters Mary (Charles) Massie and Gloria Travis; grandchildren, Terry Baker and Keith Travis; great-grandson, Chad Travis; siblings: Harold, Henry, James, Alice, Isabelle, and Annie.  Nellie is survived by her sons: Roger (Jane) Travis and Lundy (Mary Morris) Travis Jr.; a sister, Martha; daughter-in-law, Marilyn Travis; grandchildren: Mark (Sheila) Travis, Tiffany (Charles) Keglor, Buffy (George) Fehn, Carl (Nancy) Baker, Ronnie Baker, and Nellie Belew; numerous great-grandchildren and great-great grandchildren as well as many nieces and nephews. Nellie was deeply devoted to her faith and saw a lot over her 101 years.  She will be sadly missed by all that knew her.  A visitation will be held on Friday, October 23, 2020 at INGLING WILLIAMS & LEWIS FUNERAL HOME, South Charleston from 5:00-7:00 p.m. Funeral service to following on Saturday, October 24 beginning at 10:00 a.m. Burial at Milledgeville Cemetery.  Condolences may be expressed to the family by visiting www.jacksonlytle.com
