Philip Lester Gribler

Philip Lester Gribler, born September 15, 1961, was released from this life on Sunday, August 18, 2019. He is survived by mother, Sandra Gribler, two sisters, Margaret Gribler and Leslie Mesmer and two daughters, Krystal A. Gribler and spouse, Kyle Mohr and Katrina A. Monroe with spouse, Ryan Monroe (with grandsons Alex Cooper and Liam Monroe). He was preceded in death by his father, Philip E. Gribler. Philip graduated from North High School in 1979. Shortly after, he joined the Navy, where he worked as a telecommunications operator. Phil served more than 10 tours during his time in the military which included his tour of Kuwait during desert storm. He was honorably discharged from the navy as a 2nd Class Petty Officer on February 14,1994, where he came home to be with his family before his father's passing in August of 1994. Philip was a man loved by many. Even during his multiple hospital stays, doctors and nursing staff explained him as honory but kind with a healthy sense of humor. He was a man who was constantly smiling, even during the many tribulations he faced with his health. He was the kind of man who gave up anything he had, even if it was all he had, just to help others. His generosity was only a small example of his desire to want to help. Phil was admirable in his faith. He was a man who never questioned HIS GOD. He always knew where he was going in the next life and he anticipated meeting his creator. Phil was a devoted father and son, who also remained amicable with his ex wife, Delia, whom shared 25 years of marriage with him. Phil was an avid scifi and non fiction fan with a love for extraterrestrial and the paranormal. When he was able, he enjoyed being outside as he found solice in new experiences and adventures with a deep love for travelling. Phil had a deeply creative mind as he indulged in his love for video games and read extensively in his down time or just listened to music, which he had a deep passion for. He genuinely was one of a kind. His loyalty had no bounds. He will be deeply missed by everyone whose lives he touched, but mostly by his family.
