Robert Curtis Mounts Sr.

Robert “Bob” Mounts Sr. 73 years old and lifelong resident of Clark County passed away peacefully at home with family members present. Bob married his high school sweetheart in 1968 and they remained married for 54 years. In high school, Bob played basketball for Northeastern when NEHS had a MRVL championship in 1966, 1967, and 1968. Bob worked for Navistar for 31 1/2 years before retiring in 1999. Bob was elected Moorefield Township Trustee in 1984, and served for 32 years. There was nothing he enjoyed more than serving the township residents. Bob is survived by his wife Cathryn (Crall) Mounts, a son Robert (Nancy) Mounts Jr., and a daughter Kelly (Steve) Severt all of Springfield. Grandchildren, Robert (Courtney) Mounts III, Michael Severt, Bailey (Tanner) Mounts, Hannah (Tyler) Feltner and Xavier (Laney) Feltner and two great grandsons. His only surviving sibling, Joan Thompson. Bob is preceded in death by his parents, Jack Mounts and Viola Mounts Juergens, his brother Jack Mounts Jr. And two sisters, Shirley Priddy and Isabelle Olderham and niece Ellie Mayberry. He is survived by many nieces, nephews, cousins and many very special friends. A visitation will be held on Tuesday, November 22, 2022 from 4:00-7:00 p.m. at Fellowship Christian Church with his funeral service following on Wednesday, November 23 beginning at 11:00 a.m. also at the church. Bob will be laid to rest at Pleasant Hill Cemetery. In lieu of flowers the family would prefer memorial contributions be made to the Moorefield Township Fire Department or Ohio’s Hospice of Dayton in Bob’s honor.
