STARLING, Rosemary age 76 of Springfield passed away unexpectedly on Friday, May 29, 2020 at Springfield Regional Medical Center. She was born on August 29, 1943 to the late Eugene and Mary (Burgenstaller) Gaier in Springfield. In addition to her parents, Rosemary is preceded in death by her beloved son, Scott Alan Starling; her brother, Frances "Gus" Gaier and brother-in-law, Terry Blake. She leaves behind to cherish her memory, her loving husband of 54 years, Ken Starling; sister, Ann Blake; sister-in-law, Janet Gaier; step-mother, Mary Lee Gaier as well as many nieces and nephews. Rosemary was employed by Pepsi Co. and retired from the Human Resources Department after 20 years. She was such a joy to be around, she loved spending time with her family and friends. Rosemary earned the title of "Shopaholic" and was always lucky when she went to the casinos; winning jackpots for 7 straight weeks. She will be sadly missed by all who knew her. A visitation will be held on Thursday, June 4, 2020 from 10:00-11:30 a.m. at Jackson Lytle & Lewis Life Celebration Center with her funeral beginning at 11:30 a.m. Pastor Kevin Moehn officiating. Rosemary will be laid to rest at Ferncliff Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family would like memorial contributions be made to Make-A-Wish Foundation in her honor.
