Shelby Rae Peterson

PETERSON, Shelby Rae, age 27 of Springfield passed away unexpectedly in her home on Sunday, April 19, 2020.  She was born on November 24, 1992 in Springfield and a 2011 graduate of Springfield High School.  She was a wonderful daughter, mother, sister, aunt, cousin and friend.  She worked at The Hickory Inn as a server.  She left behind her 15 month old daughter, Norah Emiline Sheward, (the love of her life) mother and step-father, Penny and Trent Lacey; father, John Peterson; brother Russell Peace and wife Laura; brother Dillan Peterson and Amber; brother, Jared Lacey and fiance Sara; brother Jordan Lacey, sister Rachel Lacey and Brandon.  Nieces: Mikaela, Ramona, and Adelle; nephews: Julian and Colton. Paternal grandmother, Theresa Peterson; many aunts, uncles, cousins, cherished friends and her beloved dog Olive.  She was preceded in death by her paternal grandfather, John E. Peterson, maternal grandparents, Dorothy and Claude Peace.  A visitation will be held on Tuesday, April 28, 2020 at Jackson Lytle & Lewis Life Celebration Center from 3:00-6:00 p.m. with a celebration of Shelby's life beginning at 6:00 p.m. To abide with the regulations set forth for public gatherings due to the COVID 19 virus, we are restricted to allowing only 50 people in the funeral home at one given time.
