Stephanie Evonne Wooten

June 9, 1961 — May 5, 2021

Stephanie Evonne (Robinson) Wooten, 59, died on Wednesday May 5th peacefully in her home surrounded by her family following many years of declining health from the debilitating disease Scleroderma.
She was the first child born to Paul Robinson and Diane (Bishop) Robinson on June 9, 1961 at the Maury County Hospital in Columbia, TN. Stephanie was loved by all that knew her and was always the bright spot in her families lives.
Stephanie was one of the hardest working people you knew. She loved spending time with her family and loved them all deeply. She was an avid gardener, an outstanding cook, a lover of animals and never afraid of work. If someone was in need, she was always there to help. She lit every room that she walked into and was always the life of the party. Her life was not always easy, but she always rose above and made the best of every situation. She did whatever she had to do to survive and was one of the most strong-willed and positive person that you could have met.
Stehanie was preceded in death by her father Paul Robinson, her step-mother Charlotte (Munger) Robinson, Springfield, OH., brother Marty Bishop, Columbia, TN., maternal grandparents Ezel Morel and Mary Coleman, Columbia TN.; paternal grandparents Henry and Lucille Robinson, Mt. Pleasant, TN., and her step-father Bill Bishop, Columbia, TN.
Stephanie is survived by; her husband Kenneth Wooten, Springfield, her mother Diane (Morel) Bishop Columbia TN and brothers Robert (Tomi) Robinson Lexington, KY, Bill (John Hamilton) Robinson Springfield, OH., Jeff (Renee) Bishop Centerville, TN., Chris Bishop, Columbia TN, Brian (Marcia) Robinson Leesburg FL, and 2 sisters Paula Kay (Regina) Robinson-Ritchie, Syracuse, IN and Suzanne (Wayne) McWhorter, Springfield, OH.
Stephanie is also survived by 4 children. Mike (Penny) Elam, Greenfield, IN., Amanda (Mike) McCorkle, Greenfield, IN, and Melissa Elam, Greenfield, IN., and Jimmy Messer, Springfield, OH. She also has 8 grandchildren, 3 great-grand-children and a multitude of nieces, nephews and cousins. She has 2 aunts that were very special to her Gail Bishop, Columbia, TN., and Sherry Coleman, Sante Fe, TN.
I ached and yearned for that imaginary place, the one which I could breath. Now I sit here with God, with nature, beauty and astounding light; and now I feel like I can finally BREATH!
Stephanie’s wishes that she be cremated and have her ashes spread on her grandfather’s land in Tennessee. There will be a celebration of her life held in Columbia, Tennessee.
