Sugi Everidge

Sugi (Shoda) Everidge, age 85, passed away April 26th, 2023 at Springfield Regional Medical Center following a brief illness. Sugi was born August 20th, 1937 in Gumma, Japan, the daughter of the late Shinsaku and Kimi (Minea) Shoda. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her beloved husband of 59 years Odean Everidge in 2021, several siblings, and 4 sisters-in-law.

Sugi is survived by her loving sons Jason (Sherry) Everidge and Joey (Kristina) Everidge; grandchildren, Tabitha, JJ, Jordan, Camden, Jayden, Bee, Lucas and Teagan; great-grandchildren Cayden and Ryder; sister Fuki Hall; Sisters-in-law Lou Carol (Archie) Mills and Debbie (David) Mollett; special friend and neighbor Donna Thatcher; and many nieces, nephews, and friends.

Sugi was a proud member of SGI-USA and developed many close friendships with fellow members of the community. She loved spending time with family, cooking, reading, playing bingo, and gardening. She will be deeply missed by all who knew her.

A traditional SGI memorial service will be held at a later date. Inurnment will be at Dayton National Cemetery.
