Thomas A. Geake

Thomas A. Geake, age 72 of Springfield, Ohio passed away on February 8, 2023. He was born on September 18, 1950 in Springfield, Ohio to the late Arthur William and Pauline (Irwin) Geake. Tom is survived by his brother, Robert (Lynette) Geake, sister Jeanne (Gene) Marinelli, both of Arizona, nephews, Michael Marinelli and Jon (Jessica) Gake, all of Arizona, step-son Larry Detty, step-daughter, Becky Pope, many step grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and special friends; Randy Lewis and William Litteral. Along with his parents, Tom is preceded in death by his loving wife, Rae Ann (Varner) Geake.

Tom was a member of Grape Grove Church of Christ and was very active, especially in visiting with older members every Sunday. He graduated from Greeneview High School and lived in the Jeffersonville and South Charleston area. Tom belonged to Vienna Odd Fellow Lodge #345 of South Vienna, Ohio. He loved all sports, especially Ohio State Football and Cincinnati Reds Baseball. Tom was always ready with a joke and a helping hand. He will be deeply missed by all who had the pleasure of knowing him.

Family and friends will be received on Saturday, February 11, 2023 from 10:00-11:00 a.m. at the Grape Grove Church of Christ, Jamestown. The funeral service will begin at 11:00 a.m., officiated by Pastor William Lott. Tom will be laid to rest at Grape Grove Cemetery immediately following the funeral service.
