Anthony Charles Faust

September 14, 1956 — February 10, 2026

Urbana, Ohio

Anthony C. Faust, affectionately known as Tony, went home to be with his Lord and Savior on February 10, 2026. Born on September 14, 1956 in Springfield, Ohio, Tony lived a life of love in action. He was incredibly generous with his words, encouragement and time, and had an unwavering dedication to his family, faith and community.

Tony graduated from Catholic Central High School in the class of 1975, embarking on a career as a CNC machinist that spanned 36 faithful years. He began his journey at Dresser Industries/Cooper Power Tools, then later retired from Endolite in 2019. He made a lasting impression on all those he worked alongside.

Above all his professional accomplishments, Tony cherished his time spent with family. He is survived by his beloved wife, whom he shared over 40 years of marriage, Shauna (Ward) Faust, and his children – Steven (Layne) Faust and Heather (Steve) Musgrave. Though his biggest smiles and loudest laughter was always brought on by his grandchildren: Adalynn Musgrave, Warren Musgrave, Logan Musgrave and Dakota Faust. Their laughter, joy and simply being in their presence brought him immeasurable happiness.

In all areas of Tony’s life, his faith in God and love for others drove him. He truly lived out Mark 16:15, “Go into all the world and preach the Good News to everyone.” He was a pillar of support within his community and served God's people faithfully over his lifetime. While at Southgate Baptist Church he was an usher, co-taught Foundations class, participated in men's work trips to Scioto Hills Christian Camp and went on a work trip to Brazil. Then, at First Presbyterian Church in South Charleston he taught Sunday school and Pioneer Club, served as a deacon and an interim youth director. Outside of church, Tony also did volunteer work at the food pantry for over 5 years. In most recent years, Tony and Shauna spent time at Mulberry House where they enjoyed fellowship, and from time to time Tony also got to help teach. Tony also loved being part of an afterschool program through Springfield City Youth Mission (SCYM) teaching 1st-3rd graders in the STARS program. In this program specifically, he felt such a strong sense of purpose from God to show the love of Christ to these kids.

Tony's warmth and kindness was infectious. He would go out of his way to lift others up, embodying the spirit of generosity and selflessness. He loved to talk and connect with people, especially sharing stories of the past and making others smile. His passions included camping, traveling and hiking, frequent walks closer to home, and attending car shows, especially when done with family and friends.

He will be lovingly remembered by his siblings: Tom (Diane) Faust, Mike (Barb) Faust, Mary Anne Gregson, Joe (Melanie) Faust and his best friend, Dave Morrow. He also leaves behind a host of nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews, all of whom were touched by his kindness and love.

Tony is preceded in death by his parents, Ike (Lester) and Barbara (Pope) Faust, and his brother, Nick (Mary) Faust.
