Barbara Ann Montgomery, age 76 of South Vienna, Ohio passed away September 28, 2025 at the Ohio State Wexner Medical Center. She was born August 27, 1949 in St. Albans, West Virginia to the late James Franklin Jr. and Ida Louise (Adkins) Paul. Barb is survived by her loving husband of 57 years, Jeffrey Montgomery Sr., children, Jeffrey (Suzy) Montgomery Jr. and Mark (Danielle) Montgomery, grandchildren, Trey, Spencer, Kaleb, and Kylie, great-grandchild, Vada, siblings, Fran, Dallas (Cathy), Jim (Sandy), Pat, Joe (Amy), and Pip, numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and lots of other close family members and friends. Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by her infant daughter, Sherri Ann Montgomery.

For 18 remarkable years, Barbara poured her heart into her work at Citigroup/Sears until her retirement. Beyond her career, Barbara was a devoted matriarch, embracing her role as a beloved grandmother with unyielding passion. The joy she found in her grandchildren was immeasurable, filling her days with laughter, stories, and an unwavering love that they will carry with them forever. Barbara found delight in the simple pleasures of life. Having a deep passion for numerous hobbies, she found solace in gardening, nurturing flowers with the same love she extended to her family, and doing work around her yard. An enthusiastic card player and gambler, Barbara often gathered with friends and family for game nights filled with laughter and friendly competition. Her love for cooking filled homes with the aroma of her favorite dishes as her soul danced to the rhythm of her beloved country music. A beloved wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend, she will be deeply missed by all who had the pleasure to know and love her.

A graveside service will be held on Friday, October 3, 2025 at 11:00 AM at Greenlawn Cemetery, South Charleston. Following the graveside service, the family invites everyone to the Catholic Church Parish Hall (W. Mound Street) for a gathering of friends and family with lunch and continued fellowship.
