Boyd Daniel Marcum

Boyd Daniel Marcum, 83, of Springfield, husband of Helen Stacy Marcum, passed away early Sunday morning, April 26th, 2026 in Hospice Care.

Born in Irvine KY on June 2nd, 1942, he was a son of the late Hobert and Edna Finney Marcum. He was a retired educator of 39 years and a 47-year member of First Christian Church of Springfield, a loving husband, dad, and grandfather. Boyd enjoyed spending time with his family.

In addition to his wife, Boyd is survived by two daughters, Stacy Marcum Bosh of Hilliard, and Michelle (Marcum) Colvin of Springfield, four grandchildren, Jacob Colvin, Carina (Cass) Colvin, Silas (Laurel) Bosh, and Sadzi Bosh. Other survivors include one brother, Arthur Marcum, and two sisters, Ruth Sumner and Carol Tyree.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers, Hobert Orville Marcum and Charles Thomas Marcum, and one sister, Roxie Irene Gross.

Visitation will be at 10:00AM Saturday, May 2, 2026, at First Christian Church, 3638 Middle Urbana Road, Springfield, OH with funeral services at 12:00PM. Burial will follow in Rose Hill Burial Park.
