Carol Darlene Sanger

Carol Darlene (Black) Sanger, age 81 of Springfield, Ohio passed away May 28, 2024 in Dayton, Ohio. She was born February 21, 1943 in Columbus, Ohio to the late Carroll Herbert and Margaret (Walter) Black. Carol is survived by her children, Miles Sanger and Darlene (Scott) Perrin, grandchildren, Matthew Scott (Chelsie) Perrin and Sawyer Lance (Jordan) Perrin, great-grandchildren, Zavier and Clementine, brother, Roger (Jean) Black, and several nephews. Carol was preceded in death by her parents, and loving husband of over 50 years, Gary L. Sanger.

Carol worked many odds and ends jobs in her lifetime. In her free time she enjoyed playing cards with her friends and taking some time to dive into a good book. She had read thru the Bible over 30 times, starting when she was 12 years old. She was obsessed with the computer game ‘The Big Kahuna’, and truly upset when she lost access to it. . She enjoyed many winters in Florida with her husband and one of their favorite past times was biking together. She had too many friends to name a ‘best’ friend, they were all special to her. Her greatest prize possession was her 2014 Light Blue Mustang GT. And she loved her cats…. Simon, Casper (both preceded her in death) and Smoky and Ellie. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, and friend who will be deeply missed by all who had the pleasure of knowing her.

Family and friends will be received on Tuesday, June 4, 2024 from 11:00-1:00 p.m. at the Home Road Nazarene Church, 901 E. Home Road. The funeral service will begin at 1:00 p.m., also at the church. Burial to follow at Glen Haven Memorial Gardens. Arrangements entrusted to the Jackson Lytle and Lewis Life Celebration Center, Springfield.
