Danny E. Campbell, a devoted family man and proud Navy veteran, passed away peacefully on June 11, 2026, in South Charleston, Ohio. Born on January 7, 1952, in Brighton, Ohio, Danny lived a life marked by dedication to his loved ones, service to his country, and a passion for sports and the outdoors.

Danny’s deep-rooted commitment to his family was the foundation of his life. He cherished spending time with those closest to him, creating memories that were very special to him. His love extended to his little Yorkie, Taz, who was a beloved companion. Known for his warmth and steadfast presence, Danny was a true patriarch who valued every moment shared with family and friends.

A proud Navy veteran, Danny also served in the Air National Guard, exemplifying a lifetime of service and patriotism. His military experiences were an important part of his identity and a source of pride.

Outside of his family and military life, Danny enjoyed an array of hobbies and interests. A passionate fan of college and professional football, he especially loved rooting for the Ohio State Buckeyes and the Cincinnati Bengals. His enthusiasm also extended to NASCAR, and he found great joy in fishing, embracing the calm and camaraderie it brought.

Danny’s surviving family includes his daughters, Danielle Wolford and Makayla Campbell; his siblings Donna (Don) Thatcher, Susan (Larry) Donahoe, Jody (Steve) Matchett, and Randy (Connie) Campbell; and his grandchildren Chelsea Nickels, Brittani Wolford, Brandon Wolford, Killian Carr, Keanu Carr, and August Carr. He was also a cherished great-grandfather to Phoebe, Joshua, Amelia, Jaycee, and Waylon. Additionally, he is remembered affectionately by his special niece Kay Dotson and numerous nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his beloved parents, Howard and Edith (Lambert) Campbell, siblings: Wilburn Campbell, Jerry Campbell and Blanche Skelton as well as his best friend and nephew James McCullough.

A visitation to honor Danny’s memory will take place on June 16, 2026, from 5:00 PM to 6:00 PM at Ingling & Lewis Funeral Home, located at 24 N Chillicothe St, South Charleston, Ohio. Following the visitation, a funeral service will be held at 6:00 PM at the same location.

Danny E. Campbell’s legacy is one of unwavering family devotion, honorable service, and a genuine zest for life’s simple pleasures. His memory will continue to live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved him.
