In Loving Memory of Deann Jean Jones (Boger) October 6, 1944 – May 19, 2025

Deann Jean Jones (Boger), beloved wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend, fell asleep in death on May 19, 2025, at the age of 80.

Born on October 6, 1944, Deann was raised in Tipp City, Ohio, by her loving parents, George and Betty Boger, alongside her brothers Ed, Ken, and Steve. She later made her home in Springfield, Ohio, where she spent most of her life. Known for her quiet strength, unwavering grace, and deep devotion to her family, Deann lived a life that was truly rich in love and purpose.

She is survived by her devoted husband of 51 years, Harold Jones; her son, Kenneth Jones; her daughter, Karen (Benjamin) Via; and her treasured grandchildren, Danielle, Leah, and Noah Via. To them, she was a steady and gentle presence—always generous with her time, wisdom, and unconditional love.

Deann was a woman of deep faith and gentle spirit. She lived her life with humility, kindness, and a Christ-like love that left a lasting impression on everyone she met. Whether offering a listening ear, a warm smile, or a comforting hug, Deann had a quiet way of making people feel at peace. Her strength came not from loud words but from the consistent love and patience she offered to those around her.

She spent years shaping young minds as a teacher in various schools and continued her love of teaching by sharing her faith through Sunday School classes in her church. Her legacy is deeply rooted in her belief in the goodness of others and her sincere desire to help them grow.

Those who had the privilege of knowing Deann remember her not only for her loving spirit, but for her unwavering support. She was present for every moment—gymnastics meets, marching band performances, bowling matches, and track events—always there with a smile and a hug. Even in the face of her own challenges, she remained kind, gracious, and faithful.

Deann’s memory will forever live on in the hearts of those who loved her. Her warmth, devotion, and quiet resilience will continue to inspire all who had the honor of knowing her.

A visitation of family and friends will be held on Tuesday, May 27, 2025 from 5-7pm at North Hills Church of God, 2950 Moorefield Rd. Springfield with a celebration of her life on Wednesday, May 28 beginning at 11am, also at the church. Burial will follow at Ferncliff Cemetery.
