Deborah Ann Wehrs, age 70, of Springfield, Ohio, passed away Sunday, March 29, 2026, at The Springfield Regional Medical Center surrounded by her adoring family. She was born on January 7, 1956, in Springfield, Ohio, a daughter of Kenneth and Virginia (Crabtree) Reed
She was affectionately known as “Debbie” to everyone who knew and loved her. Debbie was a devoted Christian who loved the Lord. She was married to the love of her life, and best friend, Doug, spending 45 beautiful years together- building a life full of love and laughter. She was a Matriarch; there was nothing more she enjoyed than being “Nana” to her grandchildren and great grandchildren. Debbie worked as a devoted, and kindhearted Licensed Practical Nurse for over 30 years. She was extremely proud to have 2 daughters follow in her footsteps to become nurses, just as she did. She was very compassionate to all of her family and friends. Debbie enjoyed traveling, baking, yard sales, flea markets, tag sales, spending time with her family, hosting holidays, fishing, camping and taking care of her yard and garden.
She is survived by her loving husband, Douglas "Doug" Wehrs; her children, Brandi (Michael) Brooks, Jennifer (Scott) Glispie and Tyler (Karrah) Wehrs; grandchildren, Molly (Justin) Palmer, Marissa (Jaicob) O'Dell, Meghan (Isaac) Copeland, Makenna Brooks (Dawson Thomas), Bailey Matthew, Noah Andrew, Matthew Braden, Aaron Scott, Ann-Marie Wehrs, Douglas Wehrs and Penelope Wehrs; great grandchildren, Peyton, Kendall, Nellie Jo, Gage, Elizabeth, Malcolm, Elaina, Greyson, Carter, Emma and Jonah. As well as a brother, Kenneth Reed, and nephews, Stevie Rhoades, Scott Darst, Rick Lazear, Dan Lazear, and David Lazear.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Kenneth and Virginia Reed; nephews, Jeff Darst, Greg Rhoades and sisters, Carolyn Reed and Joyce Ruf.
Visitation will be at 1:00PM Friday, April 3, 2026, in the Jackson Lytle and Lewis Funeral Home, 2425 N. Limestone Street, Springfield, Ohio followed by a Memorial Service at 3:00PM.
