Donna Lynn Grove

Donna Lynn Grove, a cherished and beloved friend, passed away on November 28, 2025, in Springfield, Ohio, at the age of 72. Born on August 7, 1953, in Montgomery County, Ohio, she dedicated much of her life to uplifting those around her.

For several years, Donna worked with Elderly United Senior Services, where her compassion and commitment made a lasting impact. She was a beloved member of the Grape Grove Church of Christ, where she found solace and joy within her church family. She cherished the time spent with friends and enjoyed playing bingo and watching television. Donna had a warm personality, and it was not uncommon to find her reminiscing about happy memories with those she loved.

Traveling brought Donna immense joy, particularly her adventures with her dear friend Garnett. Her life was filled with a passion for connection and friendship.

Donna is survived by her loving cousins, Gretchen and Brad Castille; her special caretaker and dear friend, Stephanie Hirtzinger; and close friends, Jessie Fox, Betty Lookabaugh, and Sondra Goodbar, along with her childhood friend Debbie Peterson. Each of these individuals carries a piece of Donna's memory in their hearts.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Eldon and Mary (Cornelius) Grove; a toddler daughter who departed too soon; and her dear friend, Garnett.

In honor of her life, a visitation will be held on December 4, 2025, from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM at the Grape Grove Church of Christ, followed by a funeral service at 1:00 PM. Following the service, Donna will be laid to rest at David's Cemetery in Dayton, Ohio. In lieu of flowers, Donna asked donations be made to the Clark County Humane Society.
