Donna Szczecina

Donna Szczecina, age 81 of South Charleston, Ohio went home to be with the Lord on Thursday, July 24, 2025 surrounded by her loving family. She was born April 6, 1944 in Chicago, Illinois, the daughter of the late Raymond and Arnetta Johnson. Donna is survived by her loving husband of 60 years, Walter F. Szczecina, children, Lisa (Keith) Brown, Michael (Ahava) Szczecina, Amy (Dan) Sheehy, Walter F. (Amy) Szczecina Jr., 11 grandchildren; Matthew (Diana) Brown, Morgan (David) Carroll, Madison (Justin) Baker, Michael (Ariel) Szcecina Jr., Tyler (Meaghan) Szczecina, Jamie Szczecina, Sarah (David) White, Amber Szczecina, Kyle Szczecina, Sean Sheehy, and Bridget Sheehy, 11 great-grandchildren; Ava Brown, Grayson Brown, Jameson Carroll, Lexton Szczecina, Ledger Szczecina, Charlotte Szczecina, Blake Szczecina, Ronan Szczecina, Gabriel White, Andie White, and Hayden White, brothers, Russell (Barb) Johnson and Jeff (Betty) Johnson, and many other extended family members. Along with her parents, Raymond and Arnetta, Donna was preceded in death by two brothers, Gary (Randy) Johnson and Raymond (Joan) Johnson Jr.

Donna was a nursing assistant and spent some of her career in retail at Venture and JC Penney. She later transitioned to working for Assurant Mortgage Insurance where she worked until her retirement. A devoted wife, loving mother, and adored sister who relished in her role as a NANA to her 11 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren, Donna will be deeply missed by all who had the pleasure of knowing and loving her.

Family and friends will be received on Tuesday, July 29, 2025 from 3:00-7:00 PM at the Ingling Williams & Lewis Funeral Home, South Charleston.
