Dorothy Louise “Dink” Portis Walker Trollinger, 77, of Springfield, Ohio transitioned peacefully, surrounded by her family on May 16, 2026, at the Springfield Regional Medical Center. She was born January 12, 1949, in Springfield, Ohio to Adolph W. “June” Portis and Annie Elizabeth (Fambro) Portis. Dorothy had a very authentic personality, the cleanest floors and windows in the South End and made a sweet potato pie that would melt in your mouth. She was a member of Restored Life Ministries Church where she attended regularly until her health began to decline. Dink worked for over 30 years in the medical and behavior health field.
She is survived by her loving children, Ronnie D. “Gomer” Walker and Gloria L. “Missy” Walker-Williams; stepson, Larve Sparks; daughter-in-law, Maria D. Scott; brother, Robert “Bobby” Mims; twin sister, Doris “Rink” Portis; brothers-in-law, Randall L. Stephens, Sr. and Authur Trollinger of Shelbyville, TN; sister-in-law, Joann Jones; special grandson, Rashaad “Scooter Walker; grandchildren, Tyron D. Walker, Sr., LaVelle Gilbreth, Rhasharae Fowler, Tony Walker, Brandon Walker, Scottie Galbreth, Toniette Carter, Ronniette “Rashad” Cherry, Ronnie Walker and Cirenidy Williams; 32 great grandchildren; 3 great great grandchildren; a host of nieces, nephews and cousins and pet companion, Susie Trollinger.
She was preceded in death by husbands, Robert “Bobby” Walker and Willie C. Trollinger: her parents, Adolph “June” and Annie E. Portis; brothers, Charles E. “Butch” Fambro, Adolph W. “Sonny” Portis and William D. “Butler” Portis; sister, Linda M. Stephens; sisters-in-law, Linda M. Portis and Josephine Fambro; nephew, Charles “Chuckie” Fambro and great nephew, Roy D. “RJ” Scott, Jr.
A service to honor her life will be held on Saturday, May 30, 2026, at Greater Grace Temple, 380 W. Leffel Lane, Springfield, Ohio with visitation from 1:00PM until 2:00PM followed by funeral services. Burial will follow in Ferncliff Cemetery.
