Douglas Edward Tucker, age 71 of Fairfield Township, Ohio passed away peacefully surrounded by his family on October 10, 2026. He was born November 2, 1954 in Springfield, Ohio, the son of the late Charles and Virgie (Evilsizor) Tucker. Doug is survived by his loving wife, Vonne (Caudill) Tucker, sons: Shaun (Jessica) Tucker and Joel Tucker, grandchildren: Bailey, Margeaux, Silas, and Holden, and siblings, Donna Tucker and David Tucker. Along with his parents, Doug was preceded in death by his brother, Donald Tucker.
Doug graduated from Shawnee High School and later continued his education at Clark State, formerly known as Clark Tech, and received his Bachelors Degree from the University of Dayton. He enjoyed the simple things in life and the people who shared them with him. When his sons were young, he spent many years coaching youth sports. He loved hiking, traveling, reading, and working with wood, and he had a special gift for finding beauty in nature through his amateur photography. Family and friends knew him as a championship winner of awful dad jokes and discussing hydraulics with the grandkids. His faith was an important part of his life, and he was a dedicated member of Lord of Life Lutheran Church ELCA and an active participant in the men's Bible study.
