Dwayne LaFollette, 68, of Springfield, OH, passed away, Saturday, January 3, 2026. He was born August 21, 1957, in London, Ohio, a son of Earl and Faye (Allen) LaFollette.
Dwayne graduated from Northwestern High School, proudly served his country in the US Army, was a Truck Driver for over 40 years and was a member of the Northside Church of God.
His favorite pastime was turkey hunting. He enjoyed trips to southern Ohio to enjoy the outdoors while camping, hunting and fishing. He also enjoyed spending time with his family and his little buddy Bella.
Dwayne’s favorite quote was, “Don’t grow up to be me … be better than me”.
He is survived by his loving wife, Lynda (Judy) LaFollette, a daughter, Amy LaFollette; son, Christopher (Nicole) LaFollette; grandchildren, Alex LaFollette, Nathan LaFollette, Carson LaFollette, Cameron Kelley, Anthony Nichols, Lindsey Conley and Caleb Conely; a great grandson, Kingston Nichols; his brothers, Cliff (Diane) LaFollette and Tom (Debbie) LaFollette; sisters, Debbie (Bill) Goldsberry, Serena (Kerry) Trimble and Laura Rowland; his best friend, Dave Kreitzer and many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by a daughter, Jennifer Lee Nichols and his parents, Earl and Faye LaFollette.
Visitation will be held Friday, January 9, 2026, from 10:00AM until 12:00PM in the Northside Church of God, 3705 Middle Urbana Road, Springfield, OH followed by funeral services at 12:00PM with Military Honors presented by members of US Army. Services will be officiated by Pastor Steve Smith. Casual attire is suggested.
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made in Dwayne’s memory to the National Wild Turkey Foundation/Simon Kenton Strutters Chapter or to the Arbor Day Foundation, 211 N. 12th Street, Lincoln, NE 68508.
