Ernest Eugene Hayes

Ernest Eugene Hayes, age 86 of Springfield, Ohio passed away April 11, 2024. He was born April 6, 1938 in Gallia County, Ohio to the late Truman and Marie (DeWitt) Hayes. Gene is survived by his sister, Norma Hayes, nieces and nephews, Vicki Huffer, Michael Palmer, Jeff Palmer, Dianna Cox, and Eric Hayes, great nieces and nephews, Jennifer, Casey, Corey, Nicole, Daniel, Wesley, and Ethan, and numerous great-great nieces and nephews. Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by his siblings, Raymond, Mary, and Richard. 

Gene worked for ADT for over 30 years as an inspector until his eventual retirement. He enjoyed traveling and bowling with his siblings. Gene was an avid Cincinnati Reds fan and enjoyed going to all the games with his brothers. Gene also selflessly served our country in the United States Air Force.
