Forest Eugene "Jim" Nott

Forest Eugene “Jim” Nott, 85, of Fairborn, Ohio passed away, Tuesday, December 23, 2025. He was born January 26, 1940, in Mercers Bottom, West Virginia, a son of Edna Bell (Jackson) and Ross Wilson Nott. The oldest of twelve children.

Jim met Peggy Burba-Notts in 1987and married the love of his life in 1995. He was employed at Clemens Oil Company in Springfield, OH where he retired with 40 years of service as a driver with the company. His pride and joy was his little girl Angel, his fur baby. Playing the lottery was his favorite pastime.

He is survived by his wife, Peggy; two daughters, Shelia (Stan) Snodgrass and Tamara Cartwright; a brother, Clyde (Diane) Nott; numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces and nephews; a special niece, Amber (Patrick) Schissler; sister and brother-in-law, Linda and Bobby Marsh; son-in-law, Frankie Llyod and special friends, Larry and Nancy Grube.

Jim was preceded in death by a daughter, Teresa Maynard; his parents, Edna Bell and Ross Wilson Nott; four sisters, 6 brothers; son-in-law, Dale Penwell and his little girls; Patches, Lucky and Josie.

Visitation will be at 10:00AM until 12:00PM Tuesday, December 30, 2025, in the Jackson Lytle Funeral Home, 2425 N. Limestone Street, Springfield, OH where funeral services will begin at 12:00PM. Burial will follow in the Enon Cemetery.
