Geraldine “Deanna” Pimienta, 72, of Springfield, OH passed away, Sunday, May 25, 2025. She was born on February 3, 1953, in Urbana, OH, a daughter of Jerry and Betty (Holland) Skaggs.
She was a member of the High Street United Methodist Church, United Women in Faith, the Springfield Women Walk to Emmaus, the Red Hat Society and worked as a Registered Service Worker at Town & Country Early Childhood Learning Center and was an in-home care worker for adults with disabilities. She also worked with the Interfaith Hospitality Network and was a hospice care provider.
Deanna enjoyed gardening, crafts, and jigsaw puzzles but most of all she loved spending time with her grandson, Brady.
She is survived by her husband, Frank Pimienta; son, Brian Dilts; grandson, Brady Dilts and his mother, Sarah Shaffer; sisters, Linda Lou Freeman, Vendola “Vennie” Weber; brothers, Michael Jerry Skaggs (Robin), James Daniel “Dan” Skaggs (Judy) and David Nelson Skaggs.
She was preceded in death by her parents; twin infant brother and sister, Robert and Dixie Skaggs; brothers, Donald Skaggs and William Wilson “Bud” Skaggs; sisters, Evelena McNeely, Marsha Elaine Smith, Beverly Sue Cardosa, Luann Skaggs and Valerie Denise Trostel.
A visitation of family and friends will be held on Sunday, June 1, 2025, from 2:00-5:00 PM at the Jackson Lytle and Lewis Funeral Home, 2425 N. Limestone Street, Springfield. Funeral Services will be at 10:00 AM Monday, June 2, 2025, in the High Street United Methodist Church, 230 E. High Street, Springfield, OH. Entombment will follow in the Rose Hill Burial Park.
In Lieu of flowers, memorial contribution may be made in Deanna’s memory to the American Lung Association, 7720 Rivers Edge Drive, Suite 126, Columbus, OH 43235, Community Health Foundation, 200 Medical Center Dr., Springfield, OH 45504 or to a charity of your choice.
