Irma J. Beard

Irma J. Beard, 75, of Springfield, passed away peacefully on Sunday, November 1, 2020. She was born on April 16, 1945, the daughter of the late Ernest and Lucy (Messer) Turner. Irma is preceded in death by her husband, Robert Beard; son, Steven Frost; brothers, Lowell (Alice Baker) Turner and Jeff Turner; sister, Lois (Peter) Newton; and her life-long friend, Vicki Williams. She is survived by her son, Rock A. Frost; brothers, Alex (Barb) Turner and Tim (Tammy) Turner; sister, Ronda Beth Turner; grandchildren, Erica Frost (Jack Maier) and Kendra (Chad) Taylor; great-grandchildren, Joshua, Lindsay, Jaxon, James, Sarah and Kylie; great-great grandson, Anthony Michael; and two special friends who were like sisters to her, Cheryl Casey and Martha Adams. Irma was a retired seamstress who had many friends. She was very loving and she never met a child that she didn’t claim as her grandchild. Everyone who knew her, knew her as “Grammy”. Her family would like to give a special thank you to Michelle Taber and Clelia “CC” Carty for their love, care and devotion for the last few years and her ICU nurse, Megan at Springfield Regional medical Center for her love, compassion and dedication to Irma’s care.
