James Michael Park

July 15, 1960 — April 2, 2026

South Charleston

James Park (Jim), 65 of South Charleston passed peacefully at Hospice of Dayton on April 2, 2026. Born in Washington Court House, and raised in South Solon, OH, he was preceded in death by his parents, Marlene Creamer and Larry Park and brother, Chris Creamer.

Jim is survived by his beloved wife of 26 years, Deanna (Bair). Together they explored the USA side by side creating loving and lasting memories. From Maine to California, Alaska to Florida and many stops in between, they shared each others companionship.

Jim was the proud and loving father to his daughter Laura (Robert) Klukan, and a devoted grandfather to his grandsons Michael James, Hayden, Michael Larry, Bentley, and Aaron. They brought joy to him as he made it a priority to be present for every moment he could, always offering love, guidance, and a smile. Jim is also survived by his siblings Sandy Tidd of Cedarville, Don Park from Pocola, OK, his twin brother Tim Park of Washington Court House, and sister-in-law Donna Bair from Herndon, VA. He leaves behind many nieces, nephews, extended family members and countless friends to cherish his memory.

Jim graduated from Madison Plains High School. He retired from the Ohio Attorney General‘s office after 30 years of service as a maintenance repair worker at the Ohio Police Officer Training Academy and Tactical Training Center in London Ohio. He enjoyed riding his motorcycle, hunting in Vinton and Madison counties, camping, and the warmer weather, where from his porch he greeted passers-by with a wave and a smile. Jim found the joy in simple things. Jim was a member of the Buckeye State Sheriff’s Association, South Solon, United Methodist Church, and on several occasions a representative of OCSEA District 6, even through retirement.
