Jeri Klein passed away on Saturday, February 7th at 3:30 PM at Sion Medical Center, surrounded by family and friends. Jeri was a U.S. Army combat veteran who proudly served her country for 21years and her family for even longer.
After her military service, she continued her working life at General Motors, carrying forward the same dedication, strength, and work ethic that defined her years in uniform.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Mark Allen Klein, who passed away in 2000. Despite that loss, Jeri remained a steady and brilliant presence, driven by sheer will, an unmistakable personality, and a deep care for those around her. She had a way of leaving a lasting impact simply by being herself. Jeri was also preceded in death by her mother, Beverly Galloway (Jim) Richey.
Jeri leaves behind her beloved children: Jessica (Jamie) Henton and Jason (Krys) Klein; grandchildren: Jerika and Joe; siblings: Tim (Tammy) Winegardner, Tony (Dawn) Galloway, Aarron (Mendie) Galloway and Dallas (Katy) Galloway. She is also survived by her adoptive father, Jerry D. Galloway, as well as numerous cousins, nieces and nephews.
She will be remembered for the lives she touched, the strength she carried, and the love she gave so freely to those she loved and trusted. Sergeant First Class Klein, your children stand strong, and your family has taken charge of your post. Rest easy. Your watch has ended.
