Joan Carol Wiseman

Joan Carol Wiseman, a beloved mother, granny, and friend, passed away surrounded by her family on April 28, 2025, at Soin Medical Center. Born on December 31, 1938 to William and Mae Roden, Joan lived a life filled with love, faith, and an unwavering commitment to those around her.

Joan was not only a dedicated family member but also a passionate co-founder, alongside her husband John, of Christian Heritage, where she served as a children's minister. Her contributions to the community and the lives of countless children were profound and impactful. She was known for her great sense of humor and her ability to connect deeply with people, making her a cherished figure in the lives of many.

Family was Joan's greatest treasure. She is survived by her two daughters, Becky (Tim) Young and Robyn (Stephen) Harper, who remember her with endless love and gratitude. Joan's legacy continues through her grandchildren: Aaron (Patricia) Young, John Austin Young, Ashlynn (Michael) Case, and Jordan Harper, as well as her great-grandchildren, including Jonah, Joanna, Julianna, John, Ethan, and Eli. Joan also leaves behind her brother, Butch Roden.

Joan's hobbies included flower gardening, where she found joy and peace, and writing handwritten cards of encouragement, reflecting her generous spirit. She was also recognized as a prayer warrior, consistently uplifting others through her faith. These aspects of her personality made her an inspiration to all who knew her.

She now reunites with her beloved husband of 53 years, Pastor John Wiseman, parents, and siblings: Mayme, Gladys, Willia, Ida, Nancy, Connie, Bill, Howard, George and Herbert, who predeceased her, creating a profound void that will be felt by her family and friends.

The celebration of Joan's life will be held at Christian Heritage Church, located at 820 Victory Road, Springfield, OH. A viewing is scheduled for May 5, 2025, from 5:30 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., followed by the funeral service, also at the church, on May 6, 2025, at 1:00 p.m. with burial at Vale Cemetery.

Joan Carol Wiseman's departure leaves a cherished memory in the hearts of those who loved her, and her legacy of love, faith, and joy will undoubtedly continue to inspire all who carry her memory forward.
