Jordon Denver Briem, 38, of Springfield, passed away peacefully after a brief but courageous battle with cancer on Saturday, February 1, 2020. He was born on October 10, 1981, in Springfield, the son of Carol Briem and Darnell Banks. Jordon attended North High School and was an amazing baseball player. He was an avid Ohio State fan and was cheering his Kansas City Chiefs on to victory from Heaven. Jordon was very artistic and expressed his creativity through his tattoos. As long as he could reach, he would do his own tattoos and each of them had a very special meaning to him. Jordon had a huge heart and loved everyone. He always put his family first, loved God and made sure to comfort his family by letting them know he had made his peace. Jordon’s big smile and kind heart will be forever cherished by all who knew him. He is survived by his mother, Carol Watson; father, Darnell (Karen) Banks; very beloved grandmother, Edeltraud (Owen) Clark; grandfather, Denver L. Briem; son, Cameron Briem; siblings, Charles Watson, Amber Dixon, Joshua (Ty) Watson, Terasa Banks, Anthony Banks, Shawnté (Bo) Jackson, Tina Runyan, Dametrious (Danielle) Forté and Dytanion (Meeka) Forté; aunts and uncles, Peggy (Tony) Cochran, Denver (Beth) Briem, Casey (Sam) McGraw, Nancy Briem and Scheriese (James) Jackson; and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. Viewing will be held on Monday, February 10, 2020 from 1p.m-2p.m. at Greater Grace Temple with a celebration of his life beginning at 2p.m. Bishop Ronald M. Logan officiating.
