Juanita (Bevins) Seitz passed away peacefully on August 13, 2026, in Springfield, Ohio, at the age of 93. Born on December 4, 1932, in Vanceburg, Kentucky, the daughter of the late Rush and Jennie (Turner) Bevins.
Juanita served as a chaplain at the Clark County Jail for many years. Known for her deeply religious nature, Juanita was devoted to sharing her faith, often handing out church brochures and Bibles to strangers she met in her daily life.
She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Elmer "Pete" Seitz; her son, Peter Seitz, as well as her siblings: brothers, Joseph Rolph and Roscoe Bevins; and sisters, Evelyn Wilson, Gracie Bloomfield, and Hazel Rolph.
She is survived by her granddaughters, Leah Seitz Lamb, Courtney Seitz, and Erin Seitz; and great-grandchildren: Macy, Mackenzie, Savannah, Hannah, Weslee, Amaya, and Emma.
A visitation to honor Juanita’s life will be held on August 19, 2026, from 10:00 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. at Rose Hill Burial Park, 4781 S Charleston Pike, Springfield, Ohio. A funeral service will follow at the same location beginning at 10:30a.m.
