Judith Ann Hershey

Judith Ann Hershey, age 74 of Springfield, Ohio passed away September 10, 2026. She was born December 17, 1951 in Springfield, Ohio, the daughter of the late Samuel and Edith (Ratliff) Hershey. Judith is survived by her son, Shawn (Amy) Hershey, special niece, Becky (Brian) Dixon and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins. Along with her parents, Judith was preceded in death by her siblings: William, Charles, John, and Albert Bowman, Mary Edith Rapp, Mary Ellen Bocanegra, Sue (Larry) Baldwin, Ted Grovesnor, and grandchild, William “Billy” Rupert.

After a dedicated 30-year career with the United States Postal Service, Judith retired and devoted her time to the many things she loved most. She was an active member of the Eagles, Union Club, Machinist Club, Social Club, and Moose Lodge, where she enjoyed the fellowship of many dear friends. She had a passion for collecting, especially Hershey memorabilia, and took great joy in traveling, with cruises being among her favorite adventures. Judith was a talented cake decorator and exceptional baker. Her warm spirit, generous heart, and love of life's simple pleasures will be fondly remembered by all who knew her.

Family and friends will be received on Wednesday September 16, 2026 from 10:00-12:00 PM at the Jackson Lytle and Lewis Life Celebration Center, Springfield. The funeral service will begin at 12:00 PM, officiated by Pastor Jim Britton. Burial to follow at Newcomer Cemetery.
