Julie E. Alspaugh, born on August 14, 1948, in Springfield, Ohio, passed away peacefully on August 28, 2025, at Hospice of Dayton. She was 77 years old and is remembered for her unwavering faith and dedication as one of Jehovah’s Witnesses. For over forty years, Julie engaged wholeheartedly in her beloved ministry work, embodying the values of her faith in every aspect of her life.
Julie’s presence was often marked by her impeccable sense of style; she was always dressed classy and well put together, a true reflection of her vibrant personality. Alongside her commitment to her spiritual endeavors, she enjoyed travelling with her husband and friends as well as decorating her home.
She is survived by her brother, David Grover French, as well as her sister-in-law Judy Cox, and sisters-in-law, Mary Hopkins and Cindy (Bob) Gross. Julie cherished her family dearly, which includes Tylor (Emily) Reier and their children: Alledra (Camden) Diaz, Bailey, and Elody from Huron, South Dakota, along with their son Lance from Patterson, New York. She also leaves behind Reece (Karina) Reier from Patterson, New York, along with many friends from around the country, several of whom were lifelong.
Julie was preceded in death by her husband of 55 years, Robert L. Alspaugh, and her son, Robert A. Alspaugh. She also mourned the loss of her sisters Mary and Patricia French, and her parents, Marion and Joyce (O'Brien) French.
A memorial to honor Julie’s memory is scheduled for September 27, 2025, at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses in Springfield, Ohio, from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM. Those who gather to celebrate her life and contributions will remember Julie for her spirit of service, her loving nature, and her enduring legacy within her faith community and beloved family.
