Springfield

Kenyah Nashae Byrd, a loving young soul whose light shone brightly in the hearts of her family and friends, left this world unexpectedly on June 25, 2025, in Springfield, Ohio. Born on April 9, 2007, in Dayton, Ohio, Kenyah lived her life with a warm, gentle, kindness that resonated through every moment she cherished.

Kenyah was a recent graduate of Springfield High School, proudly holding her diploma in the class of 2025. Her school years were not just marked by academic achievements but also by the many friendships she cultivated along the way.

Kenyah was a creative soul and had many eclectic tastes: enjoying live streamers like Bailey Sarian and Cory Kenshin and music like Tame Impala, Tyler the Creator, and Kendrick Lamar. She loved fashion, nails and makeup, reading, and watching documentaries.

Kenyah had a special bond with her little sister, Rayn. The two shared countless moments filled with laughter and joy, underscored by cherished “girls’ nights” that she spent with their mother, Kyran Shanae Byrd. These nights were filled with love, bonding, and cherished memories that will forever be held close to their hearts.

Kenyah was also dearly loved by her family, especially her grandmother, Shannon D. Richardson and her uncles, Christopher Richardson and Isaiah Byrd. Together they formed a close-knit unit, and with her loving extended family and friends surrounded Kenyah with support, love, and guidance that enriched her life. She was preceded in death by her beloved grandparents, Dona M. and David Richardson Sr., who are remembered fondly by all who knew them.

Though her time with us was far too brief, Kenyah Nashae Byrd leaves behind a legacy enriched with unforgettable memories and an essence that could light up any room. Her spirit will continue to resonate through the lives she touched. Kenyah is forever missed, but her memory will live on in the hearts of those who loved her deeply.
