Kim Sarah (Sealee) Ellis, passed away after a courageous 16 month battle with pancreatic cancer. She was born September 8, 1946 in Bangkok, Thailand. She is survived by her loving husband of 53 years, William Ellis, sister, Sunee Wimsiggamol of Springfield, Ohio, brothers, Prasitt (Angonute) Wimsiggamol, Pra Jitt Wimssigamol, and Pra Poj Wimsiggamol, sisters, Suladda Wimsiggamol and Naree Wimsiggamol, all of Bangkok,Thailand, sister-in-law, Vicki Morris of Tampa, Florida, and numerous other extended family members. She was preceded in death by her parents, Hong and Hang (Jear) Sealee of Thailand.
Kim married the love of her life July 27, 1972 in Ubon, Thailand. She had a lifelong passion for selling quality jewelry. In Springfield Kim worked at Lazarus, Service Merchandise, Weber’s, Austermans, and later retired from the Wright Patt Air Base Exchange. After her retirement, she enjoyed and volunteered with many activities in the Springfield Senior Center. She really liked the Hula group and the mystery trips. She also volunteered with Project Stork at Wright Patt AFB.
The family would like to extend their deepest gratitude to Dr. Koduri, Rick Foreman, and Barb Meadows at the Miami Valley North Cancer Center and to the wonderful nurses at the infusion clinic. Also, a special thanks to the nurses at the hospice hospital in Troy for making her last two weeks peaceful and comfortable. Thank you to family, friends, Springfield Church of Christ, and the Buddhist Meditation Temple in Huber Heights for your support and prayers.
