Lois Jean Bailey

Lois Jean (Boots) Bailey, 95, of Yellow Springs, went home to be with the Lord on Monday, June 30, 2025, peacefully at the home she dearly loved with her family by her side. She was born April 17, 1930, a daughter of Sammie and Marietta Boots.

She was born and raised not far from the place she called home on the Bailey Farm for the last 75 years. Lois was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother. She was also devoted and active with her church family.

Lois is survived by her daughters, Judy (Rick) Strowbridge, Kathy (Ross) Gobble, Nancy (Perry) Fitch and son, Steve Bailey, along with her grandsons, Austin and Dylan and granddaughters, Nicole and Ashlyn, as well as several nieces and nephews.

Lois was preceded in death by her husband Lawrence of 57 years; her parents, Sammie and Marietta Boots; sisters, Lula (Herbert) Harner, Grace (Carl) Ferguson and a brother, Ralph (Martha Jane) Boots.

Funeral services will be held at the Pleasant Grove Missionary Church, 491 W. Hyde Road, Yellow Springs, Ohio on Thursday, July 3, 2025, at 11:00AM. Visitation will be from 9:30AM until the time of service at 11:00AM. Burial Will follow in Forest Glen Cemetery, Yellow Springs, Ohio.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Pleasant Grove Missionary Church.
