Marcia E. Owens, a loving wife, devoted mother, and cherished Mamaw, passed away unexpectedly on December 15, 2025, leaving a profound void in the lives of her family and friends. Born on September 12, 1955, in Springfield, Ohio, Marcia was the daughter of James and Barbara (Turner) Danley, who preceded her in death.
A remarkable woman, Marcia dedicated 25 years of her life to Fulmer Supermarkets and 20+ years to Acculube in Dayton, Ohio, where her hard work and commitment earned her the admiration and respect of her colleagues. Upon her retirement, she filled her days with the joys of family, friends and hobbies, particularly her passion for cross stitching, which reflected her creativity and devotion.
Marcia's greatest joy came from her family. She was the beloved wife of Dirk Owens for nearly 51 years, standing by his side through life's many joys and challenges. Together, they built a home filled with love, laughter, and warmth. Marcia was the proud mother of Dirk (Billie) Owens II, Misty (David) Warnock, and Kristi (Nick) Benner. Her role as a Mamaw was one of her most cherished titles; she took immense pride in her grandchildren: Austin (Carolina) Owens, Cameryn (Allie) McGowan, Cadin Owens, Phoenix Benner, Chase Benner, Sylar Warnock, and Hailee Warnock. Each moment spent with them was a treasure, and she showered them with love and wisdom that will forever linger in their hearts.
Marcia also shared a close bond with her sisters, Jeanne (Michael) Tehan and Lynn Means, who will remember her strong spirit and nurturing love. Additionally, she is survived by numerous nieces and nephews, along with her furry companion, Emma, who added joy to her everyday life.
A visitation will be held in her honor on January 8, 2026, from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at the Jackson Lytle And Lewis Life Celebration Center in Springfield, followed by a funeral service at 1:00 PM.
As we remember Marcia E. Owens, we celebrate a life beautifully lived, marked by love, dedication, and a deep commitment to family. Her legacy will continue to inspire those fortunate enough to have known her.
