PATRICK, Martha Jane, age 89 of Springfield, Ohio went home to be with Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on Wednesday, May 29, 2024. She was born on May 30, 1935 to the late Eugene and Gracie (Barker) Sparks near Blaine, Kentucky. Martha was blessed with a 65 year unbelievable marriage to Paul Patrick who survives her as well as her children: Jeffrey Patrick and Jennifer Spencer; grandchildren: Gracie (Joel) McDargh and Sarah Spencer and great-grandchildren, Finn and Ellis McDargh. She also is survived by Paul's siblings, James Bruce (Tilghman) Patrick, Anna Sue Trent and Patricia Handy. Martha was preceded in death by her cousin, who was more like a sister she never had, Gertrude Barker and her granddaughter's first husband, Zach McDaniel. Martha was a very talented artist who worked for Olan Mills bringing black and white photos to color. She was a member of Full Gospel Community Church. Martha was described by her family as an amazing cook and baker; she enjoyed crocheting and sewing projects and reading the Bible, cookbooks and Amish love stories. Martha had a soft spot in her heart for animals and liked collecting cat figurines. A visitation will be held on Monday, June 3, 2024 from 12:00-1:00 p.m. at Jackson Lytle & Lewis Life Celebration Center. Her funeral will begin at 1:00 p.m. with Pastor David Dehart officiating. Martha will be laid to rest in Ferncliff Cemetery. Memorial contributions be made to either Samaritan's Purse or Clark County Humane Society.
