Mary Jane Chiles

Mary Jane Chiles, age 86 of Springfield, Ohio went home to be with her Lord and Savior on February 12, 2024 at Oakwood Village. She was born July 13, 1937 in Springfield, Ohio, the daughter of the late Olen and Florence (Block) Chiles. Mary is survived by her nephews: David (Lisa) Chiles and Matt Chiles, niece, Peggy Willfong, and numerous great nieces and great nephews, all whom she loved dearly. Along with her parents, Mary was preceded in death by her brother and sister-in-law, Dale and Carolyn Ruth Chiles, and niece, Pam Chiles. 

Mary dedicated many years of her life to KeyBank, where she served faithfully until her retirement. Her dedication and commitment were evident in every aspect of her work. Mary’s unwavering professionalism and strong character made a lasting impact on everyone she encountered throughout her career.

Mary found joy in the simple pleasures of life. She found comfort in solitude and reading her bible, and also loved spending time with friends and family. Her gentle nature and infectious laugh made her welcome wherever she went. Her ability to find and share happiness was a testament to her peaceful spirit. One thing she held dear to her heart was her love for cats. Mary adored her feline friends and found comfort in their presence. She showered them with affection, providing them with endless care and love.

Family and friends will be received on Tuesday, February 20, 2024 from 1:00-2:00 p.m. at the Jackson Lytle and Lewis Life Celebration Center, Springfield. A funeral service honoring her life will be held at 2:00 p.m., also at the funeral home. Mary will be laid to rest at Vale Cemetery immediately following the funeral service.
