Matthew “Matt” Logan McKenzie, age 36 of Springfield, Ohio passed away March 18, 2024 in Kettering, Ohio. He was born September 2, 1987 in Springfield, Ohio, the loving son of Denise Logan.

Matt is survived by his mother, Denise Logan, sister, Skyler Nicole, son, Jayden Michael, son, Joseph Bryan, daughter, Maci Lynn, daughter, Mattilee Mae, and son, Matthew Logan Jr, several loving aunts, uncles, cousins, friends, loved ones. He was preceded in death by his number one grandma, Genevieve Logan and number one dad, Michael Richardson.

He loved his Michigan Wolverines and would get excited every game day to cheer his team on. The Bengals, nobody could tell him they were wrong either. He was a feisty but loving character. Matthew loved bonfires and good nights, driving down backroads. He loved his momma's cooking and had a interest in working and building on cars, he loved it. He was intrigued by older mafia people and learning about our family history. At the end of the day, once you knew Matt, you loved him and never wanted to let him go. All Matt wanted was for the family to be together and stay together. All in all, he was a spirit gone far too early, and loved by many.

Family and friends will be received on Friday, March 29, 2024 from 2:00-4:00 p.m. at the Jackson Lytle and Lewis Life Celebration Center, Springfield. A memorial service to honor Matt’s life will begin at 4:00 p.m. Arrangements entrusted to the Jackson Lytle and Lewis Life Celebration Center.
