Melissa C. "Missy" Silvers

May 16, 1970 — August 14, 2025

Springfield

Melissa "Missy" was born on May 16, 1970, to Sherrian (McBlane) Rittenhouse and Buddy McBlane. From a young age Missy brought joy and light to those around her with her vibrant spirit and kind heart. Raised in a loving family she shared a close bond with her parents and carried their values of compassion, resilience, and generosity throughout her life.

Above all, Missy's greatest treasure was the love she shared with her husband, Bryan. He loved her with every ounce of his being, and together they built a life filled with laughter, devotion, and deep companionship.

Her family was truly her world, and she cherished every moment spent with them. Especially her three beautiful grand daughters. Missy found great joy in her flowers each year, tending to them with care and love, and sharing their beauty with others. She had a deep love for dance and music-a passion she carried with her throughout the years. Whether it was through spontaneous moments of movement or organized fun, she especially cherished taking Zumba classes along side her sisters, daughter, and nieces. These shared experiences were full of laughter, energy, and connection-a true reflection of how she lived her life, full of rhythm, joy and love.

Missy is survived by her loving and devoted husband of 34 years, Bryan Silvers. As well as her cherished children, Allison "Allie" Wirick and her son in law Blake Wirick and her son Andrew Silvers. Her adoring and so loved grand children Addilyn, Amelia and Bailee Wirick. She is also lovingly remembered by her mother Sherrian Rittenhouse and her step-father Philip Rittenhouse. Missy is treasured by her siblings Timothy McBlane (Melissa), Athena Schutte (Mark), Mindy Simons (Jason) and Jenny Spencer (Toby). Missy's nieces and nephews truly adored her and they each held a special place in her heart: Cassey Roseberry (Merritt), Kiley Hartzell (Aaron), Abby Simons (Tyler) Zachary McBlane (Megan) and Austin Simons. She also shared a special bond with her great niece Peyton Roseberry and great nephews Parker Roseberry and Hudson Hartzell. Missy's warmth, laughter and unwavering love left a lasting imprint on each of their lives.

In addition, Missy is remembered with deep affection by her life long friend and cherished Aunt Vicki Brown, whose companionship and support were a constant source of strength and joy throughout her years.

Missy is also survived by many Aunts, Uncles, Cousins and friends who will miss her dearly.
