Melvin L. Reid

Melvin L. Reid, 63, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, May 17, 2022. He was born on June 28, 1958, in Dayton, Ohio, the son of the late Thomas D. Reid and Dorothy R. Twitty. Melvin was preceded in death by his son, Kendall Captain. He is survived by his daughter, Lagila “Shay” Captain; grandchildren, Kejuan, Keshawn, Lakela, Anthony, Kendrah and Kentrell Captain; and close friend, Michael A. Day. Melvin was a comical man who enjoyed making people smile. He started every day off with bible study and prayers and was protective over his family and those he loved. He enjoyed shopping, especially with his grandchildren and also enjoyed a relaxing day of fishing. Private services will be held at the convenience of his family.
