Michelle L. Grissom, wife, mother, dog mom, grandmother, sister, aunt, friend, trainer, coach, bodybuilder, powerlifter, competitor, mentor, role model and pillar of strength, left this world unexpectedly, joining her mother, Jane (Curtis) in Heaven on Wednesday, June 26, 2019. Whether you’ve just met Michelle, or have known her for numerous years, her contagious laugh and energetic spirit stuck with you from that first moment. On the exterior, you immediately knew she took great pride in her physique and was passionate about fitness, but more importantly, the first thing you would learn about her on the inside is her love for her dogs. They were her pride and joy and were equally as important in the gym and during workouts as lifting weights. She was an inspiration, an encourager, a challenger, an advice giver and in everything she did, she gave it 110%. Her positive attitude, support and knowledge in the gym and fitness industry helped change countless lives. Whether you crossed paths and got to know Michelle through Elite Force Gym, worked with her at Cintas, competed with her at bodybuilding or powerlifting competitions, no matter how you came to meet her, you were blessed to call her a friend. Just as she was a strong and independent woman, she lived her life helping others become the same. We will forever hold a special spot in our Hearts for Michelle and while she’s no longer physically with us, she’s passed on an incredible legacy that we all can learn and grow from. Michelle leaves behind her loving husband and best friend of almost 20 years, Rob Grissom; her beloved son, Christopher Stine; step-children, Emily Grissom and Tres Grissom; grandchildren, Kaedin Grissom, Ian Smith, Olivia Grissom, Carter Grissom, Able Grissom, Delilah Grissom and Emma Echeverri; siblings, Bill (Vicky) Flitton, Roxanne (Joe) Thomeczek; Carol Blankenship, Tim Flitton, and Mike (Pam) Flitton; her darling dogs, Jake, Loosie, Trixi and Nikki; and numerous nieces, nephews, extended family members and countless friends. Visitation will be held on Friday, July 5, 2019 from 5-6p.m. at Cornerstone Baptist Temple, 1707 Ohmer Ave. Dayton, Ohio with memorial service to celebrate Michelle’s life beginning at 6p.m. Arrangements in care of Jackson Lytle & Lewis Life Celebration Center, Springfield, Ohio.
