Nadean Frock, age 92 of Springfield, Ohio passed away July 8, 2026. She was born December 7, 1933 in Springfield, Ohio, the daughter of the late David and Juanita (Mercer) Frock. Nadean is survived by her children; Jackie Pulver, Tonya (Mike) Riley, and Billy Smedley Jr., grandchildren; Jason (Renee) Gray, Lance Gray (Brooke Martin), Brooke (Zach) Wright, Caleb (Sierra) Errett, Mathew Riley, Matthew Smedley, and Michael Smedley, great-grandchildren; Seth (Macy) Gray, Josie (Adam) Zook, Taylor, Mia, Mason and Lani Gray, Zoey, Myland, Emery, and Roman Errett, and great-great-grandchildren; Avery, Luca, and Ryker. Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by her son, David “Joey” Smedley Jr., 7 brothers; David, Richard, Ronnie, Ralph, Gail, Ernie, and Roger, and the father of her children, Bill Smedley Sr.
Nadean enjoyed the simple things in life. She was a devoted fan of the Cincinnati Reds and Cincinnati Bengals and loved taking drives, thrift shopping, and attending family events. She was especially proud of her children and grandchildren and never missed an opportunity to cheer them on at their games, performances, or special events. She stayed active and always enjoyed being on the go. Nadean will be lovingly remembered for her homemade noodles, the handmade birthday cards she created for family and friends, and the love she poured into everything she did. From 1979 to 1991, she proudly owned and operated the Silver Swan Hotel and Restaurant, where she enjoyed serving her community. More than anything, Nadean will be remembered for the love she had for her family and the many special memories she created with them.
Arrangements entrusted to the Jackson Lytle and Lewis Life Celebration Center, Springfield. Private burial will be held at the convenience of the family. Online condolences may be expressed to the family by visiting www.jacksonlytle.com.
